On October 12, the Entrepreneurship for Rural Prosperity and Technology for Agricultural Development track competitions of the 3rd "Pinduoduo Cup" STB Competition under the China Postgraduate Competition for Rural Revitalization through Agricultural Sci-Tech Empowerment & Innovation were held in Fuzhou. The event was hosted by the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education and the Youth Science and Technology Center of the China Association for Science and Technology. Under the theme "Address Livelihood Issues, Pursue Academic Research", the competition featured five tracks: Technology for Agricultural Development, Youth Support for Agriculture, Digital Technology for Farmers' Benefit, Entrepreneurship for Rural Prosperity, and Multidimensional Integration. The Entrepreneurship for Rural Prosperity and Technology for Agricultural Development tracks were organized by Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Fusuo Zhang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Dean of the National Academy of Agricultural Green Development at China Agricultural University, attended the event online. Offline attendees included Ruijian Wu, President of the Fujian Rural Professional Technology Association and Vice President of the STB Alliance of the China Rural Professional Technology Association; Jianqiang Li, Honorary Director and Academic Advisory Group Leader of the Agriculture and Forestry Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education as well as Member of the Beijing Academic Degrees Committee; Fanjun Chen, Director of the Secretariat Office of the National Agricultural Professional Education Steering Committee and Director of the Training Department of the Graduate School at China Agricultural University; Qihua Zhao, Former Vice President of Yunnan University, President of the Yunnan Postgraduate Education Society and Consulting Expert of the Ministry of Education for the Adjustment, Optimization and Reform of Disciplines and Majors; and Shungui Zhou, Member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Representatives from the University's Graduate School, Office of Social Services, Communist Youth League Committee, and College of Resources and Environment also attended the event.

In his video address, Fusuo Zhang highlighted the importance of studying and implementing the guiding principles conveyed in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s reply letters to the students of the Science and Technology Backyards at China Agricultural University and to the faculty and students of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. He emphasized the close integration of classroom learning with rural practice and called for bringing advanced technologies directly to the production frontline. He encouraged students to pursue innovation, achieve meaningful results, and realize their aspirations within the broader framework of rural revitalization.

A judging committee composed of experts from China Agricultural University, Xiamen University, Northwest A&F University,Yunnan University, Hebei Agricultural University, Qingdao Agricultural University and other institutions was invited for this competition to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the participating projects. A total of 30 teams from 17 universities across Beijing, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanxi and other regions took part in the competition. Through on-site presentations and project exhibitions, each team presented the achievements of their Science and Technology Backyards in scientific innovation, technological application, and entrepreneurship for rural prosperity. The projects covered major crops such as wheat, rice, corn and citrus, as well as the animal husbandry and aquaculture sectors including sturgeon, broiler chickens and sheep.The judging panel provided professional feedback and carried out systematic evaluations based on educational impact, innovation level, team capacity, development potential, social value, project presentation, and exhibition quality.
