At 10 am on October 25, Weiqun Lu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Science and Technology Association; Liangjun Wu, Minister of the Science and Technology Association; Jian Wang, director of the Science and Technology Association Service Center, Baozhong Wu, Secretary of the Party Group and vice chairman of the Municipal Science and Technology Association, Sihuang Chen, deputy Minister of the Municipal Science and Technology Association, Wenjuan Xu, deputy minister of the Municipal Science and Technology Association, and Chaogen Xu, chairman of the County Science and Technology Association, visited Anxi Minnan Oolong Tea Science and Technology Backyard for research and guidance. The purpose of this survey was to understand the achievements and progress of the scientific research and production of oolong tea in the Science and Technology backyard.
Associate Professor Lijin Guo from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, as the responsible expert of the STB, provided Vice Chairman Weiqun Lu with a detailed introduction to the establishment background, key research projects, technological innovations, and achievements of the Anxi Minnan Oolong Tea STB.
Accompanied by Associate Professor Guo, Vice Chairman Weiqun Lu, and his delegation visited the tea factory to understand the whole process of oolong tea production, including harvesting, processing, and tasting. The delegation highly praised the innovative technology and refined processes developed by STB to advance oolong tea production.
Finally, the delegation gathered on the first floor of the conference room, where Associate Professor Lijin Guo reported in detail the latest progress and future planning of the STB in the field of oolong tea. After the report, Vice Chairman Weiqun Lu and Director Wang Jian had an in-depth discussion and exchange with the teachers and students of the STB. They put forward valuable opinions and suggestions to further enhance their work.
Vice Chairman Weiqun Lu emphasized that the STB serves as an important platform for scientific and technological innovation, playing an active role in advancing the development of the oolong tea industry. She expressed her hope that the STB would continue to leverage its strengths, identify research efforts, and promote continuous innovation and upgrades in the oolong tea industry. Director Jian Wang encouraged the backyard to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the government, enterprises, and other stakeholders, effectively promote technology transfer, and work together to foster the thriving development of the oolong tea industry.
This research activity by the Provincial Association for Science and Technology leaders not only provided valuable support and attention to the STB, but also offered clear direction for the future development of the STB. The Institute would take this inspection as an opportunity to strengthen the research capabilities further, enhance innovation in science and technology, and contribute to promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the oolong tea industry.
