On September 25, 2024, Dr. Muhammad Atif Muneer, a Postdoctoral researcher at the International Magnesium Institute(IMI), successfully defended his outbound report in Conference Room C603, Chengzhi Building.

The chairman of the postdoctoral outbound defense committee was Prof. Chunjian Li from China Agricultural University. The participating experts included Prof. Xuexian Li from China Agricultural University, Prof.Yan Li from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, researcher Yueqiang Zhang from Southwest University and Associate Prof. Guangzhou Wang from China Agricultural University. The secretary of the defense committee was Ms. Ma Yifei, a lecturer at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.

During the defense, Dr. Muhammad Atif Muneer presented his research titled "Potential Effects of Nutrient Management on the Endophytic Microbial Community in the Phyllosphere of Pomelo Trees." After the presentation, Dr. Muhammad Atif Muneer addressed the questions raised by the committee chair and experts one by one. Finally, the chairman of the defense committee and the experts fully affirmed the research achievements of Dr. Muhammad Atif Muneer and unanimously approved his postdoctoral outbound application.

Dr. Muhammad Atif Muneer’s first inbound was on September 1, 2020, and his second inbound was on November 1, 2022. During his four years as a postdoctor, he achieved outstanding scientific research results and published 36 SCI papers. Among these, he published 10 papers as the first author or corresponding author and contributed to 26 papers as a co-author, demonstrating his strong scientific research capabilities and exceptional team collaboration skills in his field of study.
