Academician Fusuo Zhang and Prof. Xinping Chen have been listed in the Chinese Most Cited Researchers

2020, Elsevier officially released the list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers
in 2019. Academician Fusuo Zhang, Director of the International Magnesium
Institute (IMI) and Prof. Xinping Chen, Minjiang scholar chair professor,
College of Resources and Environment, FAFU, were included in the list of Agricultural
and Biological Sciences. This is the third year in a row that two people have
made the list.

Zhang has 697 papers in the Scopus database, which have been cited more than
35048 times

Chen has 251 papers in the Scopus database, which have been cited more than
11147 times
Scopus is
Elsevier's world-leading peer-reviewed abstract citation database, which
includes more than 24,000 journals from more than 5,000 publishers worldwide
(including more than 730 journals in mainland China), more than 9.8 million
academic conference papers, 220,000 books and 44 million patent information
from five major patent offices around the world. It covers natural sciences,
technology, engineering, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities.
The selection of
Chinese Most Cited Researchers, is based on the academic papers as the first
author and corresponding author cited total number, using Scopus data and the
method of Shanghai Ranking, system analysis and the results, included in the
list means that the scholars in the field of its research has the important
influence, it made a large contribution to the development of scientific
research in the field. A total of 2,163 scholars from 242 universities,
research institutes and enterprises were selected, and 97 scholars from
agricultural and biological sciences field.
