During this period, Fusuo Zhang, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at China Agricultural University, was invited to make an academic salon report, and the Party branch of Pinghe Honey Pomelo Science and Technology Backyard actively organized online learning for teachers and students of IMI.

In his report, Academician Fusuo Zhang provided an in-depth discussion on the origins, development, and innovative practices of STB in agriculture. He systematically explained the innovation approaches and achievements from four key aspects: first, innovating the scientific research paradigm by conducting field-based research rooted in real-world agricultural challenges, Science and Technology Backyards embody the principle of "from production, back to production," ensuring that scientific exploration remains closely tied to practical needs; The second is transforming the social service model, to face the needs of farmers through "four zero service", and quickly transform scientific and technological achievements into actual benefits; The third is establishing a talent training system to cultivate talents in a four-step progressive mode to temper students' feelings of "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers"; The fourth is to shape the spirit of the people in the small backyard, to persist and stick to the challenges, and to integrate science and technology with agriculture step by step closely.

In concluding his report, Academician Zhang Fusuo reflected on his academic and professional journey, sharing key insights and personal experiences. He emphasized the importance of "learning to be alone" and "learning to persist", and encouraged young researchers to stay patient and committed to their scientific pursuits. He emphasized that the STB is not only a unique model for agricultural research but also a practical solution to rural farming challenges.
