To understand the cultivation technology and development status of honey pomelo production in Pinghe County, enrich the academic knowledge of young college students, and actively respond to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s spirit of answering letter to the STB students of China Agricultural University, Yunbian College student Volunteer service practice team from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University went to Pinghe Honey Pomelo STB located in Wuxing Village, Pinghe County. On July 1, 2023, they undertook "three trips to the countryside" summer practice research initiative. The primary focus was to learn honey pomelo planting knowledge, green planting mode, and other advanced technical concepts.After arriving at Pinghe County, the students of the practice team first visited the Pinghe Honey Pomelo STB. They learned about the main work contents, technological innovation results, and outcomes of their efforts.

At the same time, the graduate students shared the backyard stories with fellow college members. They focused on introducing the backyard's motto of "Solving people’s livelihood, Explore and Study knowledge" and its spirit of "serving the people, science, struggle and serving the country". The team members were deeply profound as they gained a deeper understanding of the stories of “cloud edge” and the significance of scientific planting. They also felt a deep spirit of learning agriculture and loving agriculture, as demonstrated by the individuals in the small courtyard.

In the end, the practice team members combined what they learned in school with their hands-on experience in the pomelo orchard. They communicated with teacher Wu Liangquan, discussed the pomelo industry's future development trend, and shared how they felt about the practice. Practice team members said they will continue to go to villages and use green technology to help rural revitalization.
