A field day demonstrating the benefits of applying Mg fertilizer for the production ofnavel orangeswas held on 29 October 2017 in Huangbai town, Jiangxi Province.Dr Qingyin Shang introduced the experiments to the invited experts and local farmers.He pointed out that Mg deficiency insoilsisone of the main nutritional problems for navel orange plantations. Optimized NPK fertilization plus Mg increasedthe yield and quality of navel orange compared to farmers’ current fertilization practice. Prof. Chunjian Li and Shiwei Guo summed up the activity and noted that field demonstrations and knowledge exchange were valuable approaches to solving farmers' problems in nutritional management of crops.
