International Magnesium Institute (IMI) graduates of the 2019 class defended their thesis on May 23, 2022. A total of 12 IMI graduate students participated in the graduation defense.

The chairman of the graduation defense committee was the researcher Boqi Weng, Institute of Agricultural Ecology, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The experts who participated in the defense were Prof. Chunjian Li from China Agricultural University, Prof. Shiwei Guo from Nanjing Agricultural University, Prof. Ping Wang from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Prof. Zhichang Chen from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Weiqing Zhang, Head of Fujian Provincial General Station of Farmland Construction and Soil Fertilizer Technology, and Mingcong Li, Director of Pinghe County Agriculture and Rural Bureau.

During their three years of postgraduate study and research, postgraduate students were trained in agriculture, rural areas and interaction with the farmers. They had not been afraid of toil and tiredness and worked on the front line for agricultural production. Based on the Honey Pomelo Science and Technology Backyard (STB) research theme, they carried out fundamental research on magnesium application, promoting and demonstrating STB's existing achievements. Moreover, they held many promotions, popularization and training of magnesium knowledge for farmers and dealers.

On the occasion of parting, the graduates expressed their best wishes and messages to all IMI’s teachers and students:

Huimei Zhou: One person can walk fast, but a group of people can go further. Thank you everyone for your kind support and help! I am grateful for all my encounters with IMI.

Ziwei Luo: Study hard and make progress every day.

Biao Song: Study hard, eat well and take good care of yourself.

Wei Hou: Efforts will be harvested!

You Liu: Thank IMI for the three years of cultivation and Pinghe Honey Pomelo STB as a great platform. IMI and STB will forever be deeply branded into my heart and touch every nerve! Thank you for the company of all the teachers and students in IMI. Thanks to you, my master's life has become warmer and more wonderful! May IMI would have students all over the world! Let's go to the future together!
